MAGMA’s next Educational Wine Tasting at will be on 19th April, 6 p.m. We will introduce wines from the top wine maker Florian Weingart (Mittelrhein).

Florian Weingart was the rising star of the Mittelrhein wine makers and he remains the top producer of the region. The basic philosophy of the winery is based on selection of grapes in the best sites and extremely low yields.

The German wine region Mittelrhein begins just below Bonn and extending about 100 km south along the banks of the Rhine river. The Mittelrhein is a beautiful region of steep, terraced vineyards and some of wine world’s most splendid scenery medieval castles and ruins clinging to rocky peaks, sites of ancient legends where Siegfried, Hagen and the Loreley seem to spring to life.

Nearly threefourths of the vineyards are planted with the noble Riesling grape. The clayisch slate soil yields lively wines with a pronounced acidity.

You can taste 4 Riesling wines of Florian Weingart and we give you some more explanations about the wines and the wine maker. You will also get a printed handout.

Participation is S$ 20.00++. It is free for members of the MAGMA GERMAN WINE CLUB.
